College Recruiting
Campus Recruitment is a discrete function in the recruiting departments of most mid-large sized organizations. It requires a different set of skills and relationships, custom employer branding initiatives and a value proposition for students and recent graduates that is tailored to their interests and needs. Over the past few years, many organizations have reduced or eliminated their campus recruiting teams. As the economy improves and the labor markets tighten, it will once again become an imperative that organizations have the right presence on campus - physically and virtually - and that relationships with students, recent grads, alumni and career centers are repaired and solidified. The Human Capital Institute is deeply involved with colleges and universities across North America. From hosting our network meetings on campus to delivering one and two day workshops for campus recruiters and campus career centers, HCI is building a foundation for the future with America's next leaders. This learning track will explore best practices in college recruiting through case studies, webcasts, interactive thought leader panel sessions and special events.

In today's globally competitive market for top talent, organizations interested in accessing the best and brightest have spun the old model of hiring a college student to stuff envelopes or run errands 180 degrees. Top companies like Microsoft and Charles Schwab not only apply the same rigid, selective hiring process for ALL hires- regardless of term of service- but are also capturing a much-needed injection of youth, vigor and brains into their products and processes.

In this webcast, we'll hear about The Intern Bridge 2008 Internship Best Practices report- a culmination of data spanning over 12,000 students from more than 70 universities. The interns surveyed were employed at the majority of the Fortune 100 companies, in addition to a vast array of other for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, and government agencies. We'll share best and creative practices from this survey to aid your organization in crafting a top internship program.
